Groundbreaking Marks Start of New Retail Hub in Conway, SC

CONWAY, SC — August 5, 2025 — Eagle Development Group and Hoffman United have officially broken ground on a new retail project in Conway, South Carolina. Located at 2199 Church Street, the development will be the future home of Firehouse Subs and Slim Chickens, two high-demand national brands expanding their presence in the Myrtle Beach region.

The project involves the demolition of an aging 100-year-old structure to make way for a contemporary, multi-tenant facility designed for high-efficiency service. This development is situated along the heavily traveled SC Highway 501 corridor, the primary gateway for residents and tourists traveling through Conway. The site is expected to become a key dining destination, featuring modern architecture and a layout optimized for both dine-in and rapid take-out customers.

The project brings together two popular fast-casual concepts, Slim Chickens and Firehouse Subs. Construction is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026, at which time both restaurants will hold grand opening celebrations.
